J.L. Walters, 67, of Lumberton, MS, died Saturday, July 5, 2014.

Mr. Walters was a retired truck driver; attended Lumberton Missionary Baptist Church; and was US Army helicopter pilot during the Vietnam Era, receiving the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Silver Star.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.M. and Christine Walters; and one brother, Donnie Walters.

Survivors include his wife, Trish Walters; three children, Scott (Sandra) Walters, Terri (David) Parker, Jason Walters; two siblings, Ronnie (Lorraine) Walters and Linda (Joe) Faggard; seven grandchildren, Scott Walters, II, Samantha Moore, Courtney...
